Main Storage Tanks
In order to store the produced pure methanol, four storage tanks with below characteristics are designed and built:
- Storage capacity of each tank: 66455 m3
- Enable to store 27 days of full production capacity.
- Storage of pure methanol under nitrogen blanket.
- Design and construction according to API 650.
- Tanks are equipped to foam and water firefighting equipments.
- Each tank is surrounded by a dyke wall.
Truck Loading System
In order to load chemical carrier trucks for road transportation, KMC has considered two loading arms, each one capable of loading 45 tons of methanol per hour. Two trucks can be loaded at the same time.
